In a recent interview with El Español, Jon Fuller, CEO of Catalyse Europe, set out the case for Europe to move faster and more confidently on clean technology.
Fuller argues that Europe has the core ingredients to lead globally — strong institutions, technical expertise and a stable regulatory environment — but must do more to scale companies and crowd in private capital.
“In Europe we are good at inventing, but when companies grow and reach the valley of death, institutional investors see them as too risky.”
He highlights the central role of public private cooperation in unlocking investment, noting that the vast majority of capital required for the transition will need to come from the private sector.
